Texas Department of Transportation closing various lanes of I-30 starting at 9 p.m. Wednesday
DALLAS The Texas Department of Transportation and its contractor will close various lanes of eastbound and westbound Interstate 30 (I-30) starting at 9 p.m. Wednesday.
The closures will allow contractor crews to install two overhead signs on the existing sign bridge. Installation of the first sign will require the closure of two inside lanes of eastbound I-30 between Sylvan Avenue and I-35E and the inside lane of westbound I-30 between the Canyon and Sylvan. Once the first sign is installed, crews will pick up those lane closures. Workers will then close the center lane of westbound I-30 from the Canyon to Sylvan and the left lane of the two-lane ramp from I-35E to westbound I-30.
All work is expected to be complete by 5 a.m. The sign installations are part of a $4.5 million project to extend high-occupancy vehicle lanes/managed lanes from near downtown Dallas to Ballpark Way in Arlington.
