8:30 p.m. - Live Concert by Trio Los Panchos
Los Panchos performs celebrated interpretations of such romantic Mexican, Cuban and Latin American songs as "Besame Mucho," "Contigo Aprendi," and "Sin Ti." Through their prolific recordings and enduring popularity, Los Panchos epitomizes the trio/bolero genre, crowning them as "The Kings of Bolero."
When the bolero genre enjoyed a renaissance in the 1950's, the rise of the legendary Trio Los Panchos caused a stir in Mexico and the United States. Since the 1950's, they have soared internationally to heights unknown to guitar trios.
New members continue the legacy of the original trio of guitarists and singers, performing the group's well-known arrangements of popular boleros, ballads and love songs.
