Phil Mickelson pulls out of Byron Nelson and Colonial golf tournaments
Phil Mickelson's wife, Amy, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, leading to the golf pro suspending his tournament schedule. Michelson withdrew from both the Byron Nelson, which he won in 1996, and the Colonial, of which he is the defending champion.
Amy Mickelson's treatment will begin in the next two weeks, starting with additional tests and a major surgery.
The HP Byron Nelson golf tournament begins action tomorrow, Thursday, May 21.
