Mayor Leppert made hundreds of thousands selling stock in 2008
As an officeholder, Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert is required to disclose earnings from asset sales and a recent report shows that he didn't do too badly in 2008. Leppert sold shares in 10 stocks or mutual funds that each earned him at least $25,000.
The report didn't say whether his investments were actually up or down, though the mayor did say he felt the effects of the recent economic downturn. Just not as badly as most. In fact, not really that bad at all. In fact, dammit, Tom.
