Dallas-based DG Publishing adds two new titles
DALLAS DG Publishing, Inc., a Dallas-based company that publishes the Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin-San Antonio Design Guides, announced today two new titles that will be added to its brand. The first is The Texas Wedding Guide (TWG), a semi-annual publication designed to assist a bride with the wedding planning process. It was acquired by DG Publishing, Inc. in April. In October, DG Publishing, Inc. will expand its presence in the world of interior design with the launch of DG Commercial, a publication dedicated to resources for office design, relocation and transition.
"With a proven history of providing quality resource guides, we knew it was time to apply our expertise to other sectors," said Shannon Streater, DG Publishing, Inc. CEO. "The Texas Wedding Guide is a wonderful compliment to our collection, and we are confident that DG Commercial will fill a major void in the industry right now."
TWG will continue to be overseen by publisher Dava Thomas who started the regionally focused publication more than 16 years ago, and now plans to increase it's reach across Texas by the end of 2009.
"Making The Texas Wedding Guide part of the DG Publishing, Inc. family was the perfect next step for us. Our combined 32 years of publishing experience brings together thoughtful design, creative expertise and world-class talent for the benefit of our clients. With a shared passion for beautiful, high-quality publications and a mission to assist our clients in successfully marketing their business, it's truly the 'Perfect Marriage,'" said Thomas. "There is a tremendous synergy between all parties involved and the acquisition offers a chance for increased circulation and distribution."
With its launch in October 2009, DG Commercial will serve as resource guide for planning, developing and furnishing all commercial spaces; inclusive of all sectors including corporate, hospitality, retail, healthcare, education, institutional and government. Targeted toward organizations that will be moving to new offices or renovating their existing space, DG Commercial will feature information about every aspect of a company's move-from where to purchase furniture, to how to get phone lines transferred.
