Some of the Ringling Bros. elephants enjoy reading in their downtime.
Back for a fourth year, “Reading with Ringling Brothers” summer reading program will be offered in conjunction with the Carrollton Public Library program at both Carrollton library locations on Monday, June 8. Visit Josey Ranch Lake Library (1700 Keller Springs Road) from 10-11 a.m. or Hebron and Josey Library (4220 North Josey Lane) from 12 – 1 p.m to see Kelly the Clown, Ringling Brothers’ Ambassador of laughter, “clown around” while encouraging summer reading.
The reading program is easy and fun for kids to participate. Kids can earn a free Ringling Bros. circus ticket by simply doing their library reading. Children from ages 2-12 need to enroll at the library’s information desk where they will give kids everything to start their library reading. Kids will receive cool bookmarks, clown noses and activity sheets. This unique library reading program will encourage children not only to read, but also to discover, dream and learn.
