UPDATED: Carrollton man shot, killed in Dairy Queen parking lot while attempting to stop an argument
A suspect in the shooting has been identified by Dallas police.
Leonard Richardson, 27, was walking Monday evening (May 25) with family and friends through the parking lot of the Dairy Queen near Rosemeade and Marsh, when he noticed a group of people arguing.
When Richardson attempted to intervene, he was immediately set upon by the arguers, one of whom pulled a gun and shot him. Richardson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dallas police have identified a suspect in the shooting and a warrant is in the works.
UPDATE: Malcolm Loren Hickson, 18, who was arrested and initially charged with the shooting of Richardson, has now been superceded on the prosecutorial agenda by new suspect Antonio Darnell Graham, 18, who police are now fingering as the trigger man.
The murder charge against Hickson has been dropped, though additional charges may be pending, according to police.
