Heath City Council meets in special session to discuss land acquisition, retail center improvements
The Heath City Council will convene in special session Tuesday evening (May 26) at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall.
The meeting agenda contains four items, the last three of which will be discussed in conjunction with the Heath Economic Development Corporation:
* discussion and action involving the annexation of about 294 acres along FM 740 from the current corporate limits adjacent to Heart Stone Estates to the City of Heath's corporate limits
* discussion and action regarding improvements in relation to the Hubbard Drive Retail Center at 201 Hubbard Dr.
* discussion and action regarding subdivision of and signage on a 75 acre tract of land owned jointly by the city and the Heath Municipal Economic Benefits Corp.
* discussion surrounding local options issues, including elections, land use and permitting regulations.
