The Quebe Sisters Band will be performing at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on Saturday May 29, notes Preston.

The Quebe Sisters

The Quebe Sisters

The Sisters -- Grace, Sophia, and Hulda -- are fiddlers extraordinaire and three-part-harmonizers who formed in 1998 and who specialize in Western swing, hot jazz and swing standards, cowboy songs, vintage country, and bluegrass.

They mention on their Web site that they'll be appearing as guests of Marty Stuart. And that, if you lack the dedication to drive all the way to Nashville to see them, you can still hear them on 650 AM WSM or else on Sirius/XM satellite radio, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Funny-- even though I'm really into this sort of music, I'd never heard of these gals before. Then last night, we were watching a five year-old documentary on the song "Orange Blossom Special" that we'd Tivo'd, and the Quebe Sisters were in it, simply billed as "three young sisters."
