Dallas now only #2 in national crime rankings

As hinted at last week by Dallas Police Chief David Kunkle, Dallas is set to drop to #2 in crime rate for cities with populations over 1 million after 10 years of being ranked #1 (San Antonio now holds that dubious distinction). Kunkle says that a new reporting system and more officers lead the reason why Dallas has made improvements.

Chief Kunkle is right. The new reporting system where police officers decide whether a crime has been commited or not, has a lot to do with the new ranking. I was attacked by 2 armed men at my job. I held them at bay after they had broke the door trying to get in. Police said no crime was commited because they didn't take anyhting, (including my life) even though there was property damage.
