Texas Rangers 7, New York Yankees 3
ARLINGTON The Texas Rangers looked like a completely different team Tuesday night, defeating the New York Yankees 7-3 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. The win improved Texas to 27-18 on the year.

Second-year player Chris Davis was the hero for the Rangers this time around, snapping a 1-for-25 streak with a pair of home runs. The first came in the fourth inning and chased Joba Chamberlain, and the second capped off the scoring in the bottom of the eighth.
Marlon Byrd also drove in two RBI, while Ian Kinsler went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored.
Rangers starter Kevin Millwood pitched well but had one of his shortest outings of the season, lasting just five and two/thirds innings before leaving the game in the hands of the bullpen. Millwood allowed three runs on nine hits and looked overmatched by the potent Yankees lineup for stretches.
The Rangers bullpen, which has pitched the fewest number of innings in the majors this season, took over from Millwood and shut out the Yankees for three-plus innings. Jason Jennings was credited with the win.
