Cool news from the Video Association of Dallas:

For those who would LOVE to see the films in competition but can't work an evening trip to the Angelika into their schedules, here's a way to see them anyway: buy the compilation on DVD (or Blu-Ray).

24-Hour Video Race Finalist Screenings

  • When: Wednesday, June 3, 2009, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Where: Angelika Film Center & Cafe (Dallas), 5321 East Mockingbird Lane, Dallas
  • Cost: $3 - $5
  • Age limit: Not available

Pre-sale orders are being accepted now through the Video Race website at a cost of $20 for the DVD or $30 for the Blu-Ray, with Paypal and credit cards as purchase options.

After the compilations are produced and delivered to pre-purchasers, remaining sets will be sold (through the website) for $25 and $35, respectively.

DON'T FORGET that Video Race preliminary screenings continue tonight (Thursday, May 28) and tomorrow at the Dallas Angelika, with showtimes starting at 6 p.m. Tickets run $5 for adults, $3 for kids under 12.

The finals screen next Wednesday (June 3).
