The Crawfish Band to headline Burleson’s second Hot Sounds of Summer concert
Don’t miss The Crawfish Band as they headline the second free Hot Sounds of Summer concert in Burleson’s Old Town on Friday, June 5.
Organized over 10 years ago, Crawfish was created from a select group of seasoned studio musicians from the Dallas and Fort Worth area. The act includes family-oriented entertainment and audience participation. Crawfish covers all of the classic hits, including pop rock, Motown, classic rock, country, easy listening, Cajun and patriotic tunes.
The free Hot Sounds of Summer concerts, hosted by the City of Burleson’s parks and recreation department, fill the streets between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. every Friday between May 29 and June 26. The stage is set up at the corner of Ellison and Wilson streets, next to Burleson City Hall.
Burleson’s Hot Sounds of Summer Concert Series starts tonight, May 29, with The Killdares, a Celtic Rock group. The rest of the schedule includes Victor Trevino and the Hound Dogs (a young Elvis) on June 12; the Texas Gypsies (swing) on June 19; and The Derailers (country tribute to Buck Owens) on June 26. The final concert, the Fourth of July celebration at Hidden Creek Sports Complex, will feature Men In Black (Johnny Cash/Roy Orbison tribute).
All Hot Sounds of Summer concerts are free. Bring a picnic as well as a chair or blanket to sit on. For more information about this release, call the public information office at 817-447-5400, ext. 286.
