School kids in Arlington to pay 25 cents more for lunch
On Thursday night (May 28), Arlington School Board trustees voted to raise the price of school lunches by 25 cents beginning next year.
The current cost of school-prepared lunches varies according to grade level (from $1.75 for elementary kids to $2.50 for adults), but whatever you've been paying, the cost will increase by a quarter in the 2009-2010 school year. (The cost increase will not affect students on federal free and reduced-price lunch programs.)
