Consider the ethics of food, and then practice what you preach at the 15th Annual Farmers Market Hoedown.

The week's top picks:

Thursday

American Craft Beer Dinner

Grace showcases domestic craft brewers such as Brooklyn Brewery, Dogfish Head, Stone Brewing, and Victory Brewing with a dinner that includes potato and arugula soup, five-spice scallops, Berkshire pork stone-ground grits, flatiron of beef, and a pumpkin tart with cardamom-honey cream and salted caramel.

15th Annual Farmers Market Friends Hoedown

The Friends' annual Hoedown is its largest fundraiser. Texan farmers donate ingredients used by local chefs to create delicious samplings, and samples are also offered by local specialty food producers, from cheese to salsa to tapenades and dips.
