Kids and family events in Dallas-Fort Worth, November 5-11
After the excitement of Halloween, it's only natural to want to take a break. Even though the slate of events is a little sparser than usual, there are still a few fun things worth getting out of the house for.
On Thursday, the Dallas Arboretum will host An Evening with Richard Louv. The author of Last Child in the Woods will talk about how to get kids interested in nature again and how doing so will make them happy and healthy.
Who doesn't like a good magic trick? If you're in Lewisville, then you can check out The David Hira Magic and Variety Show at the Castle Hills Village Shops Plaza on Friday, November 6. David Hira will do his best to entertain and amaze the crowd.
Also on Friday is the start of the run of Stuart Little at Theatre Arlington. The story of the mouse who tries to make it in the real world of New York City will play on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through November 15.

How about a little culture? Saturday is AdventureAsia: Family Day at the Crow at The Trammell & Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art in Dallas. The monthly event features a tour of the current exhibition, Wild Flowering: The Crow Family and Asia, along with other family-friendly activities.
Finally, The Black Academy of Arts and Letters will show off their Children’s Chorus and Youth String Orchestra on Saturday night. The youth talent will perform a variety of songs, from classical to pop and spirituals to Broadway songs.

Don't forget about David Chicken at the Lakewood Theater! Great show for kids.
