Theatre off the Square in Weatherford to present Curse of the Werewolf
Theatre Off the Square presents Tim J. Kelly’s Curse of the Werewolf beginning Friday, November 13 and running weekends through Sunday, November 22. Mike West directs the production, which is presented by special arrangement with Dramatic Publishing Company.
The phrase “dark and stormy night” perfectly describes Curse of the Werewolf as the story begins in Gargoyle House, the castle belonging to Algernon Snipes. Shadows and howling set the mood for this mystery of family secrets and plots to find out if there is a werewolf and an accompanying curse. After the untimely demise of the lord of the manor, Algernon Snipes, the relatives are summoned to the castle since there is a family fortune at stake. Handling estate business becomes increasingly difficult with such an assortment of family and houseguests, ranging from Buzz, the nephew and entertainer whose act includes a penguin; a child who has baby piranhas for pets; a new governess; and Colonel Snipes and his wife, just to name a few. When the heir to the fortune is announced, that reveals even more of the tangled web surrounding the Snipes' family and their fortune. All is resolved with cunning and wit, making Curse of the Werewolf an entertaining and funny whodunit.
Included in the cast of Curse of the Werewolf is Holly Kiehn, Karri O’Connor, Duncan Alexander, Christopher Reaves, and David Railsback; along with Naomi Wood, Kaleigh Parker, Meggie Ellisor, Amanda Johnson, and Kristen McCurdy.
