UK photographer Stephen Rowntree brings snapshots to Dallas
Rowntree is the great grandson of noted British businessman and world famous confectioner whose Rowntree Confections made chocolates for the royals. He's also the son of photographer Anthony Ramond Rowntree.
DALLAS Alan Barnes Fine Art showcases an exhibition of works by popular photographer Stephen Rowntree Nov. 19 through Dec. 4. Rowntree, great grandson of noted British businessman and world famous confectioner whose Rowntree Confections made chocolates for the royals, is the son of photographer Anthony Ramond Rowntree. The artist will be in attendance at a public reception on Thursday, November 19, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Receiving his first camera on his 14th birthday, Stephen has been busily taking photos ever since. Following studies in England, his travels took him around Europe as well as the Middle East and ultimately to Texas, where a girl from Houston stole his heart. He now divides his time between Dallas, Houston, and the UK.
“We are delighted to welcome this unique talent to Alan Barnes Fine Art,” says proprietor Alan Barnes. “Rowntree’s work explores the abstract side of photographic visuals arts through his use of light and shadow, sharing with viewers his unique ability to capture the often unseen elements of design in both the natural and manmade world. “
