Watters Creek in Allen to present Flurries on the Green
This holiday season, Watters Creek will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland complete with magical outdoor snowfall showers, horse-drawn carriage rides and over half-a-million festive lights.
The snow at Watters Creek is a soft texture that floats through the air and looks like the real thing. Each environmentally friendly flake is made of millions of tiny bubbles that evaporate upon contact without leaving a residue. Flurries on the Green is the only FREE outdoor snowfall event in the Dallas-Forth Worth area. Guests will experience a delightful 10-minute snow shower starting on Sunday, November 29 during Light the Night at 7:30 p.m. Snow showers will continue every Thursday, Friday and Saturday through December 26 at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
While enjoying the snow, visitors can also take a leisurely holiday horse-drawn carriage ride around Watters Creek while taking in the spectacular holiday lights, enjoy visits with Santa, Big Screen on the Green, and more. New this holiday season are “snowfall” lights, adding to an already-impressive light display on the 100-year-old Pecan Tree. These transparent tubular animated snowfall lights can only be found at Watters Creek and the Champs Elysées in Paris, France.
