Tarrant County Public Health receives more H1N1 influenza vaccines
We've stopped talking about swine flu for awhile, so here's just a little update.
Tarrant County Public Health announced Thursday that it has received 14,300 doses of injectable H1N1 influenza vaccine.
The vaccine will be available to all people in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention target groups: pregnant women, household contacts, and caregivers for children younger than 6 months of age, health-care and emergency medical services personnel, all people from 6 months through 24 years of age, and people 25 through 64 years of age who have health conditions associated with a higher risk of medical complications from influenza.
An Arlington event is being planned, and the details will be announced as soon as the location has been finalized.
Tarrant County has so far reported seven flu-related deaths.
