Savor Dallas adds recipes and chef demos to website

The 2010 version runs from March 5-7.

— Savor Dallas founders Jim White and Vicki Briley White have taken SavorDallas.com to a new level, adding recipes and chef demos from Dallas' finest restaurants; supporting the local restaurant community; as well as giving food and wine enthusiasts the opportunity to "connect" with the talents that put Dallas on the map as a dining destination.

The online resource which launched mid-November currently features recipes from Chef David Bull, Bolla; Paula Lambert, Mozzarella Company; Chef Grant Morgan, DragonFly; Chef Tiffany Derry, Go Fish Ocean Club; Chef Randy Morgan, Dallas Fish Market; Chef Kenny Chong, Hibashi Teppan Grill and Sushi Bar; Chef Pascal Cayet, Lavendou Bistro Provencal; Chef Jamie Samford from Winn Meat Company; and more.

Chef Daniel Winans, executive chef from Grill on the Alley, launches the cooking demo resource for the site with his delicious "Grilled Australian rack of lamb" recipe. Chef Winans takes viewers through the recipe, sharing ingredients, and techniques for preparation. Each week, a new high-definition "webisode" featuring one of the Savor Dallas celebrity chefs will be added to the growing archive.

"We would like SavorDallas.com to become a resource for home cooks across the country, making recipes from Dallas-Fort Worth top chefs accessible and accompanied by the video demo, a little less intimidating," says White. "Check back weekly for new ways to get creative in the kitchen."

The 6th annual Savor Dallas, "An International Experience of Wine, Food, Spirits and the Arts," to be held March 5-7, 2010, is dedicated to showcasing the finest chefs in Dallas-Fort Worth and the world's best beverages and celebrating the renaissance of Downtown Dallas, especially the Arts District, Dallas Farmer's Market and host hotel Sheraton Dallas.

Tickets for all events are on sale now with special pricing for advance purchase tickets through December 31, 2009. For a complete schedule, go to SavorDallas.com or call 888-728-6747. A portion of the proceeds benefits the North Texas Food Bank and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Savor Dallas also funds a scholarship for a deserving chef to attend culinary school, which is administered through the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association.
