Video: Break a Leg! Evil Dead “The Musical”
Hey all you primitive screw-heads, listen up! Level Ground Arts (LGA) presents the Dallas premiere of Evil Dead “The Musical” at Dallas Hub Theater, and we got a sneak peek. It's a sing-song version of the '80s thriller, where kids find themselves in the woods among violent, evil spirits.
Like being the first to know? This is the third in a series called Break a Leg! where we bring you video of a production's dress rehearsal -- because everyone loves a sneak peek. Previously featured: Dallas Symphony Orchestra season opener and Spectacular Senior Follies.
"It's going to be a fun and thrilling ride," says Director Bill Fountain. LGA started working on the musical in August, with Actor/Assistant Director Zac Ramsey playing the part of the boom-stick-wielding Ash. Actress/Choreographer Brittany Levraea plays the role of Annie.
Prior to where the clip starts, Annie summons the demons that leads the zombies into doing the Necronomicon dance. If you haven't made Halloween plans, Evil Dead “The Musical” starts on October 2 and runs through Oct. 31.

Level Ground Arts has 35 members in the theater troupe; dancers, singers, actors, composers, artists, directors and playwrights. Fountain hopes to open their own theater space sometime in the next year or so. LGA's next production Poe: Tales of Mystery and Imagination opens on October 16.
