DALLAS The Man in Black, a tribute to Johnny Cash, honors the legendary icon of modern pop culture and music to sell-out crowds. This authentic recreation of Cash’s music can be seen and heard for one performance only at the Palladium Ballroom in Dallas, Texas at 8 p.m. October 22.
The Man in Black is a national touring show that takes the audience from the grass root days of country and rock-a-billy to the polished MTV and VH1 hits that crossed all age barriers. Shawn Barker portrays Johnny Cash with vigor and authority. Barker possesses an uncanny resemblance to Cash and truly captures the presence of the legendary performer, not only through his music but also in his storytelling. You will be astounded by the uncanny resemblance that Shawn has to Cash and even more astounded by his voice.
“I was awed by his performance," said Ray Green, radio disc jockey and personal friend of Johnny Cash. "He sounds just like John!”
“The Man in Black is astounding. Having done a few shows with John over the years, I was transfixed with Shawn’s tribute and portrayal of an American Icon. Do not miss this show,” says Dr. Bruce, KFTX Radio and member of the Country Music Disc Jockey Hall of Fame.
