Fort Worth ISD urges parents to read The Very Hungry Caterpillar to kids on Oct. 8
FORT WORTH Fort Worth ISD Pre-K and kindergarten teachers are helping bring national attention to the importance of early childhood education by making Jumpstart’s Read for the Record the largest shared reading experience ever.
Jumpstart is asking adults and children to support early education opportunities by reading the official campaign book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, together on October 8, 2009. The Jumpstart Campaign has provided one copy of the book for each Pre-K and kindergarten teacher in Fort Worth ISD free of charge.
In anticipation of this event, Fort Worth ISD’s EdTV has prepared a short promotional video that highlights the importance of helping children learn to read here.
