League of Women Voters of Dallas to hold Dallas ISD candidate forums
In addition to voting on the 11 State Constitutional Amendments in the upcoming November 3 election, there are three contested DISD Trustee School Board races. You can become educated about the candidates, their ideas and their qualifications at the following Meet the Candidate Forums:
October 13 - District 9: San Jacinto Elementary School
Invited candidates: Sally Cain, Bernadette Nutall, Dr. Juanita Wallace, Rossi Walter
October 14 - District 1: Pershing Elementary School
Invited candidates: Edwin Flores (incumbent), Melvin Cannon, Kyle Renard, Linus Spiller
October 21 - District 3: Reinhardt Elementary School
Invited candidates: Leigh Ann Ellis (incumbent), Penny Anderly, Beatrice Alba Martinez, Bruce Parrott
LWV-DEF Voters Guide on School Board Candidates and Pros and Cons to the Constitutional Amendments will be available October 9 at www.lwvdallas.org.
