Rep. Carol Kent, other lawmakers, to discuss constitutional amendments Oct. 20

0

The League of Women Voters of Richardson will cosponsor a program with the RISD Council of PTAs and the Richardson Chamber of Commerce on the 11 proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution which will be on the November 3 election ballot. The program will take place at 7 p.m. on October 20 in Richardson.

State Representative Carol Kent will be joined by fellow State Representatives Angie Chen Button and Jerry Madden.

During the 81st legislative session, the Texas Legislature passed 11 resolutions calling for amendments to the Texas Constitution. These proposed amendments must be approved by the voters of Texas, and will appear on the ballot as propositions in the upcoming November 3 election.

It is of utmost importance to Representative Kent that her constituents know as much as possible about these constitutional propositions prior to the election. Accordingly, she discussed the propositions in detail at her recent town hall meeting, and looks forward to doing the same alongside her fellow state representatives from the Richardson area.
