Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth to present Mystery on the Western Express
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth has teamed up with H.O.P.E. Farm, Inc. to present Mystery on the Western Express, an evening of Old West fun aboard the Western Express on Monday, October 26, 2009. The train departs the Fort Worth Stockyards Station depot located at 140 E. Exchange Avenue at 6:30 p.m. and returns at approximately 9:30 p.m.
The event is sponsored by BNSF Railway and Western Railroad.
The evening will feature a luxury train ride, heavy hors d'oeuvres, fine wine, live entertainment, and a few Old West surprises. Tickets are $100 per person, with all proceeds benefiting The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth and H.O.P.E. Farm, Inc.
This three-hour train ride will encompass all the excitement of the Wild West, with a little mystery too. Patrons are warned to be prepared for anything as they barrel down the tracks and should remember to keep their eyes and ears open for outlaws and other surprises!
"We are very excited about this event," said Daphne Barlow, president of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth. "Not only will it be a unique evening of fun, it brings together two great organizations who are working to better the lives of disadvantaged youth in Fort Worth. We are so grateful for the generosity of Mitzi and Bill Davis and Lisa and Matt Rose for making this event possible and supporting both organizations."
"This is a first-time experience locking arms with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth to create a charitable event that will benefit at-risk children in Fort Worth," said H.O.P.E. Farm Executive Director Gary Randle. "This event's success is due to Matt and Lisa Rose of BNSF Railway, Mitzi and Bill Davis of Fort Worth & Western Railroad, and our generous supporters."
Honorary marshals (event chairs) for the evening are Lisa and Matt Rose of BNSF Railway and Mitzi and Bill Davis of Fort Worth & Western Railroad.
