Lantana resident Jake Pavelka to be new star of The Bachelor

It's official, Lantana resident and Bachelorette contestant Jake Pavelka will star in the 14th season of the ABC reality television series The Bachelor in January 2010.
On Tuesday's Dancing with the Stars results show, host Tom Bergeron announced that Pavelka, 31, will choose a potential wife from among at least 25 women on the show, dubbed, The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love.
The commercial pilot and limousine company owner was eliminated by Jillian Harris on her season of The Bachelorette last spring, but he remained a crowd favorite.
