Mountain View College to present Theater of Magic

The "Mark Wilson" Mountain View Magic Club is an official student organization at the college which seeks to promote student leadership and effective public speaking.

Old-fashioned magic returns to Mountain View College on Oct. 24 when Fort Worth illusionist and stage magician Bruce Chadwick brings his "Theater of Magic" show to the Mountain View College Performance Hall from 7-9 p.m. The program is open to the public and is geared to families, young people, and the young at heart. Tickets are $5 each and are available at the door. The show will be preceded from 5-7 p.m. in the foyer of the Performance Hall when members of the "Mark Wilson" MVC Magic Club and Fort Worth Magicians Club will provide free strolling magic, face-painting, and balloon artistry for kids.

The "Mark Wilson" Mountain View Magic Club is an official student organization at the college which seeks to promote student leadership and effective public speaking, as well as to develop self-confidence and performing skills while supporting members' enthusiasm for this ancient and popular form of entertainment. This event is one of the service projects for the college and its service area. The club takes its name from the internationally renowned magician Mark Wilson, who grew up in Oak Cliff and began his magical career as a young magic demonstrator at Douglass' Magicland in downtown Dallas in the early 1950s.

For more information about this event, please contact Dr Geoff Grimes, sponsor of the Mark Wilson MVC Magic Club, at 214-860-8747.
