See’s Candies to open seasonal stores around Dallas on November 13
DALLAS California-based See's Candies will open its limited-run holiday stores in the Dallas area on November 13, with one going into NorthPark Center for the first time.
The NorthPark outlet occupies an actual storefront, one vacated by a women's clothing store called Cheke, on the second floor next door to Ed Hardy. Most of the seasonal See's are in temporary kiosks positioned in the mall walkways.
The NorthPark branch also represents the chain's annual "roving" store, replacing a branch that opened last year at West Village, which will no longer have an outlet.
The kiosks sell pre-packaged 1- and 2-pound gift-wrapped boxes of See's chocolates and candies during the holidays. They close the day after Christmas.

Ok, this is a Warren Buffet owned company or Berkshire Hathaway to be precise. So, is the candy that good? If so what is the best product for the beginner to buy? Thank you in advance.

tetsujin, if you like the hard-core 70% pure <a href="http://www.patric-chocolate.com/store/">dark chocolate</a> that's favored by <a href="http://dallasfood.org/forums/search.php?sid=3e4c7f139fdfadf744a6f9939d7c5689">serious foodie types</a>, then this may not satisfy you. i grew up on the old-school "box of chocolates" so for me this is heaven.
there's a "basic assortment" that might be a good cross-the-board starter, also a "nuts and chews" (my mother likes that one), and truffles. i like the holiday assortment because it has a purty box and the selection seems a little more decadent. but i end up pretty much buying one of each under the guise that i will give them out to people for presents, and then never get around to doing that.
they DO always offer free samples at these stores, they usually have a pre-defined item they hand out...
