Wilhelmina Models announces The Wilhelmina Hot Body Model Search in an effort to find one woman and one man who epitomize beauty, health, and a fit lifestyle to join their talent roster.

Wilhelmina, along with Shape and Men’s Fitness magazines, launched the The Wilhelmina Hot Body Model Search on August 17 and will conduct the second open casting call on Saturday, October 24 at Gold’s Gym in Plano.

Ending the search on November 30, Wilhelmina’s top model scouts will visit several cities in search of men and women who are confident, fit, and think they’ve got what it takes. The ideal contestant is one that already leads a very healthy lifestyle as a professional or as an avid health and fitness person. Finalists will be brought to New York in early 2010 where two people will be chosen to join the ranks of Wilhelmina.

Wilhelmina Models, known for making the careers of models and talent such as Gabriel Aubry, Alexandra Richards, Mark Vanderloo, Alex Lundqvist, Fergie, Natasha Bedingfield, Estelle, and more will be looking for men and women to add to their roster of leading models. Two grand prize winners will receive a five year Wilhelmina modeling contract, an editorial appearance in Shape and Men’s Fitness, and other prizes.

The search:

• Ideal contestants will have the potential to be icons of health and wellness.

• Applicants will enter online or in-person.

• Casting calls or by mailing-in headshots and resumes

• A panel of judges consisting of Wilhelmina talent scouts (including Sean Patterson, president of Wilhelmina) and Shape/Men’s Fitness editors will review all entries.

Ten finalists (five women/five men) will:

• Invited to a finale event in New York where the two winners will be selected live by the panel of judges

• Both winners (one female, one male) will receive a Wilhelmina contract and be featured editorially in respective issues of Shape and Men’s Fitness.

The promotion:

• The search contest runs from August 17–November 30 with the first open call at Wilhelmina offices in New York on September 26.

• Three nationwide Wilhelmina casting calls (September 26 – NYC; October 24 – Plano; and November 14 – Miami)
