The Seattle Sounders FC beat FC Dallas at a game at Qwest Field in Seattle, 2-1. The loss ended a four-game winning streak for FC Dallas and drops the club’s final regular-season mark to 11-13-6 (39 points).
Jeff Cunningham still maintains his lead in the MLS Golden Boot race heading into the final day of regular-season play.
Other notes:
* George John left the game in the 40th minute with a left leg injury.
* Kyle Davies replaced John, making his first appearance on the pitch since Sept. 5.
* Daniel Hernandez’s assist on the Atiba Harris goal in the 14th minute marked the first for the midfielder since beginning his FC Dallas career.
* Heath Pearce, George John, Ugo Ihemelu, and Jair Benitez made up the back line for the fifth consecutive game.
* David Ferreira and Dave van den Bergh started all 30 regular-season games.
