Casa Mañana to present Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
Noted Broadway actor Norm Lewis and renowned Broadway performer and director Gabriel Barre are headed to Fort Worth for Casa Mañana’s production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, November 10 – 15 at Casa Mañana Theatre.
Casa Mañana presents Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd, winner of ten Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score. The gruesomely brilliant musical tells the tale of bitter revenge in Victorian London. After being falsely jailed in Australia, the mild barber Benjamin Barker returns as the devilish Sweeney Todd, hell-bent on punishing those who sent him away and destroyed his family.
Casa Mañana’s production of Sweeney Todd is presented for an exclusive limited engagement at Casa Mañana Theatre in Fort Worth. Performance dates are November 10 at 7:30 p.m.; November 11 at 7:30 p.m.; November 12 at 7:30 p.m.; November 13 at 8 p.m.; November 14 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and November 15 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
November 9 is a student preview night with cast talkback following the show. It's open for students, faculty, and staff with valid school ID for $10. This show is suitable for most audiences. Parental discretion is advised.
Tickets for Sweeney Todd are on sale now and can be purchased by calling the Casa Mañana Theatre box office at 817-332-2272. You can also visit the box office at 3101 West Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth.
