Photos: Tailgating on The Boulevard at SMU

An SMU tailgate includes a well-manicured courtyard, custom fit oxfords, venison sausages, and Pinot Grigio.

When you think tailgate, you think concrete parking lots, oversized jerseys, cheap meat, and beer. Lots of beer. Simple as that. At SMU? Not so much. Try a well-manicured courtyard, custom fit oxfords, venison sausages, and Pinot Grigio.

Shok and I decided to head down to “The Boulevard” at SMU to scope out some 18-year-old girls good old-fashioned tailgating ahead of the game against Who-The-Hell-Cares. We hung out with some alumnus and hung out with some current students. Even former President George W. Bush was in attendance. The result? A beautiful drunken fall Saturday afternoon — complete with pre-game F-22 fighter jets zooming overhead. God bless Texas.
