Old Red Museum to present Deck the Halls at Old Red exhibit
The Old Red Museum of Dallas County History & Culture will open the second annual Deck the Halls at Old Red exhibit on Saturday, November 14 in the first floor special exhibits gallery. Fifteen Dallas County not-for-profit organizations will each decorate a lit holiday tree to celebrate Dallas County holiday traditions and their charity.
Visitors may "vote" for their favorite holiday display by dropping their donations in a box by each tree. At the close of the exhibit, January 3, the "winner" of this friendly competition, the tree with the most donations, will be announced. Throughout the season, arts and cultural groups from Dallas County will give weekend performances to celebrate this special season. Join in the spirit of giving in one of Dallas' oldest landmarks for its newest holiday tradition: Deck the Halls at Old Red.
Admission to Deck the Halls is included in general admission. General admission is free for members, or $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, and $5 for children ages 3 to 16. Admission to Deck the Halls without general admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children. The museum is open seven days a week, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Early Bird admission pricing of $5 is offered on Sundays from 9 a.m. - noon. For group reservations, corporate meetings/outings or weddings call 214-745-1100. For more information, visit www.oldred.org.
