SH 114 will be closed through the weekend
IRVING The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will allow closure of the east and westbound mainlanes of SH 114 between MacArthur Boulevard and Beltline Road to facilitate a project to construct a u-turn lane at SH 161.
The closure will begin at 10:30 p.m. Saturday and continue through 5:30 a.m. Monday.
Detours are in place and portable message boards have been advertising the lane closures.
Austin Bridge and Road is the contractor on the $2.7 million project. The project began in January 2009 and is expected to be complete by January 2010.
