SH 114 will be closed through the weekend
IRVING — The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will allow closure of the east and westbound mainlanes of SH 114 between MacArthur Boulevard and Beltline Road to facilitate a project to construct a u-turn lane at SH 161.
The closure will begin at 10:30 p.m. Saturday and continue through 5:30 a.m. Monday.
Detours are in place and portable message boards have been advertising the lane closures.
Austin Bridge and Road is the contractor on the $2.7 million project. The project began in January 2009 and is expected to be complete by January 2010.
