New multi-sports center to open in Forney
FORNEY Ramin and Valerie Gilani, owners of Inwood Furniture Manufacturing, Inc., are transforming half of their furniture warehouse into an all-sports facility to open in late September 2009.
The Forney Sports Center (FSC) is a new state-of-the-art, air-conditioned 56,000 plus square foot facility. It is designed to accommodate the growing demands of the City of Forney and surrounding towns and communities. The center will be completed in phases over the next few years.
Phase one will offer five high school basketball courts, a junior high basketball court, six official volleyball courts, indoor soccer field, four official tennis tables, a fitness center, yoga studio, café, a Pro Shop, and much more.
“We are producing a Sports Center to be proud of. I am personally very pleased with the new facility and I am sure the participants and community will be equally impressed,” said Ramin Gilani.
“There is certainly a huge lack of sports facilities in the East Dallas area. The disparity is unfair,” said Valerie Gilani. “We want to provide facilities for the kids around here. It’s an incredible opportunity for the City of Forney and its neighboring communities.”
“The idea is more than just sports. We want FSC to be a cornerstone in the lives of young people,” said Ramin Gilani.
