Dallas bar Buddies II to close in October
In a letter posted on their website (see below), the owners of Buddies II in Dallas have announced that the bar will close on October 1. No specific reason was given for the closure, but content partner Dallas Voice promises to feature Buddies soon, so answers may come then.
It is with a heavy heart that I am sending out this announcement today. After 28 years of Buddies being not only a great women’s owned bar but a home to so many people along the way. I am retiring and closing Buddies on Oct. 1st.
We have so many fond memories of all of you and I would like to see each and every one of you before I go. So many of you were children and we watched you grow up.
Buddies was more than just a bar….it was home to so many and welcomed everyone along the way. We have a lot to be proud of. The many benefits…weddings…funerals, etc…and fun times we all shared. You name it and we had it at Buddies!!
I have been working day and night to make September full of special events….so please stop in and visit us!! We will have special guest bartenders and people you probably have not seen in many years.
Let’s give Buddies the proper send off and be part of an era!
Love Always,
Sandy & Dawn
