Dallas city employees to take second furlough day

Well, at least they're scheduling 'em around holidays: Following the first city-mandated furlough day on July 6, most Dallas city employees will be given their second unpaid vacation day on Friday, September 4.

In case you forgot, the furloughs are designed to help save the city money in light of the budget crunch. So don't be trying to renew your driver's license on Friday, 'cause it ain't gonna happen.
