League of Women Voters of Arlington to hold Disaster Preparedness Forum
On Tuesday, Sept. 15, the Arlington League of Women Voters (LWVA) will host a Public Forum on Tarrant County Disaster Preparedness at 7:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Arlington.
September is Disaster Preparedness Month. Guest speakers will include Melissa Patterson, Tarrant County Emergency Management Coordinator, and Dr. Sandra Parker, Medical Director, Tarrant County Public Health. They will discuss various emergency management topics including essential services that protect our communities as well as reduce the physical and fiscal impact of disasters. There is no charge, and the public is invited.
