Boys Named Sue kicks off CD release festivities in Dallas
Boys Named Sue will debut their new Idol Release The Hits Vol. Sue! Tuesday, September 8 with a CD "listening hoedown" at Libertine Bar.
Originating from the EDT (East Dallas, Texas that is), Boys Named Sue fuse old country with contemporary styles of rock, hip hop, and shock jock.
Boys Named Sue is comprised of four musicians wrought from The O’s, Slick 57, and Rose County Fair. They can be heard playing in honky-tonks across the country and have shared the stage with many influential country artists such as the Old 97s, David Allen Coe, Shooter Jennings, and Flaco Jimenez as well as some not-so-country folks such as Grammy-award winning polka band Brave Combo, international touring punk band UK Subs, rockabilly Stray Cat legend Lee Rocker, and the bearded rockers ZZ Top.
Boys Named Sue’s recent CD release features all original material and is getting radio play and recognition worldwide. The Sue's “hits” have won them the Dallas Observers’ Best Country Band award three years in a row.
The Hits, Vol. Sue! will be In stores and on-line Tuesday, September 15.
