Circle Theatre and Theatre TCU to present Picasso at the Lapin Agile
Set in an historic Parisian bar, the ridiculous and the sublime intersect in this unique comedy about a chance encounter between Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso.
Circle Theatre, a professional, regional theatre company in Sundance Square, will preview Picasso at the Lapin Agile, by Steve Martin, on Thursday, September 24; Friday, September 25; and Saturday, September 26 (matinee). The production officially opens Saturday evening, September 26, at 8:00pm. A post-show opening night party will follow the performance.
After the success of Bus Stop in 2006, Circle Theatre is again teaming up with Texas Christian University for this second co-production. Picasso at the Lapin Agile will feature TCU students and faculty, as well as professional actors. Harry Parker, chair of TCU's theatre department, will direct the show. Earlier this season, Parker directed Circle's hit show, Hail Mary!
