Dallas attorney Tom Melsheimer recognized among America’s top lawyers
DALLAS Dallas trial lawyer Thomas M. Melsheimer, managing principal for the Dallas office of Fish & Richardson P.C., has earned a spot on the annual listing of The Best Lawyers in America. Melsheimer is one of only a handful of attorneys from across the country to be recognized in four separate categories in the 2010 Best Lawyers edition. He is highlighted for his work in “bet-the-company” litigation, commercial litigation, white-collar criminal defense, and intellectual property law.
To develop the list of the top attorneys in the country, Best Lawyers researchers reviewed more than 2.8 million confidential peer evaluations. The 2010 listing highlights attorneys in more than 70 legal specialties all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
Melsheimer’s trial practice includes complex civil and criminal litigation in state and federal courts, emphasizing intellectual property, antitrust, and False Claims Act litigation. He served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas from 1990 to 1993, and during his tenure was honored by the Justice Department as one of the nation’s top prosecutors.
