Cedar Hill’s Lake Ridge Baptist Church to host blood drive

The American Red Cross salutes members of Lake Ridge Baptist Church, “everyday men and women” who serve others by providing their congregation and the community the opportunity to donate blood. The Save a Life Sunday initiative invites places of worship to sponsor blood drives and to educate their congregation on the importance of giving blood.

The members of Lake Ridge Baptist Church have scheduled a blood drive on Sunday, October 11 from noon to 4 p.m. to ensure an adequate blood supply is available for patients in need. The blood drive will take place in the Youth Room at the church.

Every two seconds, someone in needs blood; yet, only 5% of the eligible population donates. The Red Cross through the Save a Life program works diligently to allow places of worship the chance to save lives through blood donation. These trusted faith communities set a lifesaving example for others to follow.
