The prestigious list represents the top 5% of lawyers in Texas as identified in a rigorous screening process based on peer nominations, a blue-ribbon committee review, and independent research by Texas Super Lawyers editors.

Three McKool Smith attorneys are singled out for special recognition based on their overall point scores in the selection process: The firm's co-founder Mike McKool and principal Ted Stevenson are honored among the Top 100 attorneys in Texas, while firm principal Sam Baxter is featured among the Top 100 lawyers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The following McKool Smith principals appear on the 2009 Super Lawyers list: Samuel F. Baxter, Douglas A. Cawley, Gary Cruciani, Robert E. Goodfriend, Thomas A. Graves, Lewis LeClair, Robert M. Manley, Mike McKool, Theodore Stevenson III, and Steven D. Wolens.

“Our attorneys are focused on their work and achieving the very best possible outcome for their clients,” says McKool. “I’m gratified when our work is recognized in objective forums like Texas Super Lawyers.”

McKool Smith handles commercial, intellectual property and white collar litigation for companies and individuals, including major airlines, telecommunications companies, medical device manufacturers, oil & gas concerns, and many others.
