Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southlake named a Best Place to Work in Healthcare

SOUTHLAKE — For the second year, Modern Healthcare magazine has named Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southlake one of the country's 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare. The list was compiled from an evaluation of 317 healthcare companies in partnership with Best Companies Group, a Pennsylvania-based firm that administers "best places to work" programs nationwide.

"Our vision is to create a great place for our employees to work," said Traci Bernard, president of THHMHS. "Being recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare is a significant honor, as it tells us that our employees think we are doing a great job."

The Modern Healthcare survey collected information from both the employer and employees and was open to all companies (providers, suppliers, payers, associations, etc.) with at least 25 employees. Employers completed a survey detailing company policies, practices, benefits, and demographics. Employees were asked an in-depth set of questions that resulted in an analysis in eight core areas: leadership and planning, culture and communications, role satisfaction, working environment, relationship with supervisor, training and development, pay, and benefits and overall satisfaction.

Modern Healthcare will reveal the specific ranking of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare, from 1 to 100, in a special supplement to be published October 26. A half-day conference and awards gala for the winners will be held October 27 in Chicago.
