Hotel ZaZa in Dallas among Texas spots to feature world’s first Açai spirit
VeeV, the world's first Açai spirit, is launching in Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio on October 1st, bringing Brazil's super-fruit Açaí to the cocktail glasses of Texas' hottest bars, including ZaZa (Dallas), Capone (Houston), Kiss & Fly (Austin), and the Lux Lounge (San Antonio).
VeeV has changed the way people think about cocktails and spirits across the US and now more citizens of Texas can enjoy a new drink tonight while doing themselves and the environment some good at the same time. Popularized by surfers and sports enthusiasts, Açaí contains 57% more antioxidants than blueberries or pomegranates, and 30 times more heart-healthy anthocyanins than red wine. Courtney Reum, the visionary entrepreneur behind VeeV, discovered Açai while in Brazil on a surfing trip and immediately began developing a liqueur than fuses the exotic berry with all-natural ingredients and column-distilled base wheat spirit. VeeV mixes like vodka, only with a smoother finish, and is a great substitute for any clear spirit.

All this time I didn't realize that this was responsible for changing how I thought about cocktails. It's probably true because something that has like only 53% more whangobango is clearly inferior when it comes to shredding the gnar.
