Brave Combo World Music Smackdown hits University of North Texas
DENTON
From the lecture hall to the dance hall, Brave Combo makes it mark at The University of North Texas on Tuesday, October 6, 2009.
Music lovers can join two-time Grammy Award-winning Brave Combo for a question and answer session at UNT’s Kenton Hall, room 282 at 4:00 p.m. then join the World Music Smackdown at 9:00 p.m. in The Syndicate located on level 1 in the University Union.
This is an opportunity to learn about these world famous UNT alumni. Denton-based Brave Combo has traveled the globe, persuading even the chronically bottom-glued-to-the-chair types to hit the dance floor for a rollicking polka, swinging waltz, rambunctious salsa or a seductive tango for three decades and show no sign of slowing down. Learn why there are “Ice Machines in the Desert” and exactly how to “Do Something Different.”
Later in the evening Brave Combo will hit the stage for the World Music Smackdown in The Syndicate. Show time is 9:00 p.m. and tickets are $5.
