Greek Festival and a Thai Festival in one week? That's foodie heaven.
The week's top picks:
Thursday
Caymus is one of the biggest names in California wine, and they do a dinner like this once a year at Pappas Steak House. This year's event includes Heirloom tomatoes, porcini mushrooms, porterhouse steak, and a caramelized peach dessert, paired with the greatest wine ever.
53rd Annual Greek Food Festival
Pretty sure you'll find more baklava than you could ever want, plus music, dance, kids' attractions, a visit to the Greek Cultural Center and church bookstore.
Friday
Peruse Thai arts and crafts, relax in the poolside beer garden with a Thai Singha beer, and sample treats from top Thai restaurants.
Saturday
One good way to help the planet is to grow your own food. Learn which vegetables grow best each season, when and how to fertilize, and how not to kill your crops dead.
Monday
All Oregon dinner with well-known Oregon wines and food, including seafood, mushrooms, berries and cherries, hazelnuts, and products from Rouge Creamery.
Tuesday
Harvest Tea Service at the DeGolyer Garden Cafe and Tea Room
Every fall, the DeGolyer Garden Cafe hosts a Harvest Tea service twice a day, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., seven days a week, running until November 15. It's $35 a person, but that includes a ticket inside the Arboretum. Advance reservations are required.

I consider Annual Greek Food Festival a bit of a let down and day trip tourist trap. For all of the advertising/promotion that they do it just boils down to average buffet food and touristy type trinkets. Just my opinion and I know that you will let me have it.
