Zombieland zombie walk set for evening of Oct. 1 at Studio Movie Grill Dallas
We outbursted yesterday about a free preview screening of Zombieland coming up at the Studio Movie Grill (SMG) in Dallas on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 7:30. We now have further details about a zombie walk event set for the same evening, and they are these:
Loyd Cryer, impresario of Texas Frightmare Weekend, is promoting the event in conjunction with Columbia Pictures, along with -- apparently -- Blockbuster Video, in front of which facility (at 11260 N. Central Expwy.) he's arranged for the zombies to gather 'round at 5:30 p.m. (Should prove entertaining, and/or startling, to video rental patrons.)
From there, they will be shambling after the unhurried fashion of dead, decaying folk across the vast parking lot towards the nearby SMG. This will happen at about 6:15 p.m., which should give them (most of them, anyway) plenty of time to make it into the theater for the movie.
There will also be costume judging happening at some point in these proceedings, with the top three most convincing zombie outfits getting free passes to the 2010 Texas Frightmare Weekend (coming up at the end of April).
DON'T FORGET to RSVP to zombielanddallas@gmail.com if you plan to attend the show, and be sure to include the full names of those wishing to see the movie -- which is rated R, I hasten to add.

Appropriate that the dead will be walking in front of Blockbuster, which is dying a deserved death itself.

Thanks, I'm glad the undead weren't discouraged by a little rain.
